Alpines at Glendoick

Alpine Plants at Glendoick   Small plans for small places....

What is an alpine?: A small plant from the mountains of Europe, Asia and North America which do well in Scotland

They like well-drained soil and a cool climate so Scotland is ideal.

You can plant lots of them in a small space, container, trough..

They are not expensive so ideal for gardening on a budget

They just need a good tidy up in late summer.. and they should come back year after year.

You can of course plant them in a rockery.. with stones and gravel...

Come and see our table top crevice garden designed by Dom.

When to Plant? March and April and early May are the ideal time to plant...
